Following a meritorious term as the President of the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Saraki founded the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation with a mission to champion effective, transparent, and progressive governance in Nigeria and Africa; towards connecting citizens to resources and opportunities that unlock prosperity for all. This makes him a big voice and one of the strongest advocate for universal health coverage in the country. The Foundation has successfully executed several projects including a first of its kind community health insurance scheme aimed at achieving equitable, affordable and quality healthcare for the people, including those in the rural areas in Kwara State.
